Jayesh’s journey is deeply intertwined with the evolution of DSP itself. From the day he joined us in 1988, he brought an extraordinary sense of commitment, integrity, and calm conviction to everything he did.

Our association goes back even further through family connections. Jayesh’s father stayed in one of our boys’ lodgings in Matunga, and through the Gujarati tradition of meeting during Diwali, our families remained connected over time.

There was one such Diwali meeting where I met Jayesh. I had an intuition about him — a sense that he had the discipline, sincerity, and temperament to build something meaningful. I asked him to come to work the next day. That moment began a journey of more than three decades.

Over the years, through market cycles, institutional changes, and global transformations, Jayesh earned the trust of clients, colleagues, and leadership alike. What has always stood out is not only his understanding of markets, but his ability to remain steady through uncertainty and lead with quiet confidence.

His return to DSP Finance feels less like a transition and more like a homecoming.

I have known Jayesh professionally for over 30 years, and over that time our relationship has grown into a close friendship. We still speak almost every week, and every conversation reinforces my admiration for the person he is.

Jayesh is one of those rare leaders who combines exceptional market intelligence with genuine humility. Having led Fixed Income at Bank of America for many years, he has earned immense respect not just for his ability to navigate markets with remarkable clarity and conviction, but also for the calm, balanced judgment he brings to every situation. His understanding of macroeconomic trends is deep, yet he never loses sight of the fundamentals that ultimately matter.

What I admire even more is his commitment to developing people. Many of today’s respected leaders in the fixed income markets in India have been mentored and groomed by Jayesh. He has always been generous with his time, knowledge, and encouragement, helping others succeed without ever seeking the spotlight for himself.

In an industry where brilliance is often accompanied by ego, Jayesh stands out for his authenticity, integrity, and quiet confidence. His insights are invaluable, his leadership is enduring, and his friendship is something I deeply cherish. I wish him success in his new endeavor which is destined for great success under his leadership.
