Jayesh’s journey is deeply intertwined with the evolution of DSP itself. From the day he joined us in 1988, he brought an extraordinary sense of commitment, integrity, and calm conviction to everything he did.
Our association goes back even further through family connections. Jayesh’s father stayed in one of our boys’ lodgings in Matunga, and through the Gujarati tradition of meeting during Diwali, our families remained connected over time.
There was one such Diwali meeting where I met Jayesh. I had an intuition about him — a sense that he had the discipline, sincerity, and temperament to build something meaningful. I asked him to come to work the next day. That moment began a journey of more than three decades.
Over the years, through market cycles, institutional changes, and global transformations, Jayesh earned the trust of clients, colleagues, and leadership alike. What has always stood out is not only his understanding of markets, but his ability to remain steady through uncertainty and lead with quiet confidence.
His return to DSP Finance feels less like a transition and more like a homecoming.
Hemendra Kothari
Chairman, DSP Group

I have known Jayesh professionally for over 30 years, and over that time our relationship has grown into a close friendship. We still speak almost every week, and every conversation reinforces my admiration for the person he is.
Jayesh is one of those rare leaders who combines exceptional market intelligence with genuine humility. Having led Fixed Income at Bank of America for many years, he has earned immense respect not just for his ability to navigate markets with remarkable clarity and conviction, but also for the calm, balanced judgment he brings to every situation. His understanding of macroeconomic trends is deep, yet he never loses sight of the fundamentals that ultimately matter.
What I admire even more is his commitment to developing people. Many of today’s respected leaders in the fixed income markets in India have been mentored and groomed by Jayesh. He has always been generous with his time, knowledge, and encouragement, helping others succeed without ever seeking the spotlight for himself.
In an industry where brilliance is often accompanied by ego, Jayesh stands out for his authenticity, integrity, and quiet confidence. His insights are invaluable, his leadership is enduring, and his friendship is something I deeply cherish. I wish him success in his new endeavor which is destined for great success under his leadership.

Jayesh sir was one of the defining leaders during my early years in the industry. For those who worked under him, he was not only a senior market professional but also a mentor who shaped how we approached discipline, decision-making, and responsibility.
His clarity of thought, composure under pressure, and ability to explain complex market situations with simplicity left a lasting impact. The lessons I learnt from him continue to influence the way I think about markets and leadership.

I have known Jayesh through the DSP Merrill Lynch and Bank of America years, and what has always stood out is the quiet confidence he brings to every situation. He has a deep understanding of markets, but he never makes it feel complicated. He is clear, measured, and practical in the way he thinks.
Jayesh has seen institutions evolve, markets change, and teams work through difficult cycles. Through all of that, he has remained steady and dependable. That is what makes people trust him.
His return to DSP Finance feels natural. It brings together his long association with the DSP legacy, his market experience, and the maturity of someone who has led through many different phases of the financial industry.

Jayesh has been an integral part of DSP's journey, and his association with the organisation is not just a professional one it goes back to a relationship between our families that spans many years. His father stayed in one of our boys' lodgings in Matunga, and through the Gujarati tradition of meeting during Diwali, our families remained connected.
At one such Diwali gathering in 1988, I asked Jayesh what he was doing and whether it was fulfilling. He told me he was pursuing his Chartered Accountancy but wasn't finding it particularly interesting. Jayesh always struck me as someone with clarity of thought, sincerity, and a quiet maturity. I felt he had the qualities to build something meaningful, so I invited him to join DSP and asked him to come to the office the next day. Leaving his CA studies to join DSP couldn't have been an easy decision, but he took that leap of faith. It marked the beginning of an exceptional journey that has now spanned more than three decades.
Throughout his career, Jayesh has consistently demonstrated the unwavering commitment, integrity, and quiet conviction that have become hallmarks of his leadership. Through changing market cycles, institutional evolution, and global transformations, he has earned the trust of clients, colleagues, and leadership alike. What distinguishes him is not only his deep understanding of the markets, but also his ability to remain steady through uncertainty, bring clarity and balanced judgement to complex situations, and lead with steady confidence.
I was delighted to welcome Jayesh back to DSP Finance. To me, it is not a new beginning—it is a homecoming.
